Our Story

Our passion for food and togetherness led us to start NineteenthMay. The founder is Mr Manouj Kaushikk, a connoisseur of culinary with over 12 years of experience. Manouj brings to the table a fantastic experience, having worked as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for Rotana Hotel Management Corporation at Fujairah, UAE (in 2015-2017).  Manouj oversaw the operations, setup and establishment of new restaurants in a large chain of 60 hotels.

As the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage in Capital Centro - Doha, Qatar (2016), Manouj was in charge of F&B operations and pre-opening of new hotels. Manouj was the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Hotels in Ahmedabad (2013-2015), where he was responsible for reinforcing Hyatt's Values and Culture Characteristics within in the workforce. He has also worked for brands such as Park Hyatt, The Claridges Hotels & Resorts, The Imperial, Hyatt Regency, and DLF (The City Club - A luxury clubhouse).

Manouj’s love for zesty food inspired him to start NineteenthMay. The name is inspired by an important date, which is also chosen as the day of the inauguration, to mark a new beginning, i.e., 19th May 2019. His vast experience in the industry makes him a great visionary, taskmaster and a team builder - to lead Nineteenth May to greater horizons.
